Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB)
The Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB) is the nodal agency under the Government of NCT of Delhi responsible for improving the living conditions of slum and Jhuggi Jhopri (JJ) dwellers. It manages slum redevelopment, resettlement, and provision of basic civic amenities. It also operates and maintains night shelters (Rain Baseras) for the homeless, currently managing nearly 200 shelters across Delhi. DUSIB provides community halls, mobile toilet vans, and sanitation facilities to slum residents. Its mission is to enhance the quality of life for marginalized urban populations through housing, infrastructure, and social welfare initiatives.
